Colgate-Palmolive Pakistan in collaboration with leading dental institutions of Karachi and Lahore has organized "Colgate Dental Health Week". Colgate-Palmolive, one of the global Pakistan with various on-going programs promoting the importance of oral hygiene.

Under this initiative, dental health check ups were offered in different schools and dental colleges of Karachi and Lahore, where teams of qualified dentists provided free dental health consultation to school children and the general public. Educational literature related to oral health care was also distributed to improve oral hygiene status amongst adults and children.

To carry out free dental check ups, Colgate Dental Health Week was organized in Karachi from September 27 th to October 1 st , 2004 and in Lahore from October 4 th to October 9 th , 2004.

In this oral health initiative, about 50,000 free dental check ups were carried out in Karachi and Lahore cities. Dr. Kamran Vasfy, President Pakistan Dental Association, stated, “Colgate Dental Health Week is a positive step towards spreading awareness of oral health and hygiene in the country where problems related to health are usually ignored. Hopefully these kind of events will continue to be organized in the future as well”.
